README for Starter Kits

This archive contains the Starter Kit to enable separate work teams to commence building the UBL BIE Catalog.  

It contains the following documents...

1. The dictionary of xCBL 3.0 in Excel spreadsheet form for ease of reporting and navigation.
2. The HTML pages for xCBL3.0 taken from the www.xcbl.org website, providing the narrative description of elements.
3. A PDF file containing UML Class diagrams for the xCBL3.0 structures Order/ItemDetail and Order/PackageDetail (we are still awaiting Order/OrderHeader).
4. The target BIE Excel spreadsheet into which Business Information Entities identified from the xCBL structures are to be entered.

We propose a top-down approach, each work team taking the highest structure in their set (e.g. ItemDetail) and cataloging this as a BIE, then moving top-down, left to right through the xCBL3.0 tree.  An important part of this catagorization is the indentification of the 'context' in which a BIE is used.  The samples identified in the workshops are left in this spreadsheet to demonstrate how this is to be done.  In addition, the UML class diagrams are provided to help clarify the contexts of various substructures.

Following each team's work, these BIE sheets will be consolidated and harmonised.  Therefore, each team should maintain a master copy of their section of the catalog.
